(Interfacing Relay)
| Most people are slightly vague on the functions provided by this relay and the important role it plays in the co-ordination of the total environment control system. Our Atmospheric Controllers function heaters, fans, coolers etc.. Timers control light cycles, irrigation and CO2 equipment. A switching control is needed to turn some functions "Off" while others operate and to disable some while others remain in service. Generally we want atmospheric control all 24 hours but we want CO2 enrichment during photo-periods only. The IR-1 will do this. It will also trigger the reset feature of the CST-1 and defeat CO2 during exhaust functions. Operates on 115VAC with 12 Amp switching capacity.Approved for indoor use only. |

HOW TO OPERATE
![]() | Plug the right hand "On" power pigtail into a timer set for your "lights on" period. Plug the left hand "Off" trigger pigtail into a cooling thermostat or other atmospheric controller. Plug your exhaust fan into the right hand outlet and your CO2 equipment repeat cycle timer into left hand outlet. Turn"On" the main power switch. |
| The basis function of the IR-1 is coordinating ventilation and CO2 enrichment. The IR-1 integrates the Tempstat cooling thermostat to switch off the CO2 equipment when the fan is on. The Timestat 24 hour timer defines the operation hours for the CO2 and the Cyclestat cycles the CO2 for its scheduled functions. This gives you a completely synchronized system. |

| The "On" power plug is the power supply for the relay outlets and powers all other controls or equipment plugged into it. In this example it is plugged into a 24 Hour Dual Timer to set "On" times to daylight hours. The relay outlets on the left side will be on during this time unless the CT-DH-1 Atmospheric controllers exhaust outlet comes "On". This sends power to the "Off" power input which will turn "Off" the left outlet and turn "On " the right outlet. This is the power for the exhaust fan. When the CT-DH-1 shuts "Off" the exhaust fan the left relay outlets will come "On" again and the CST-1 timer will operate the CO2 equipment for it's preset time. When the 24 hour timer is "Off" the left outlet will not operate. Therefore the interfacing relay is providing this alternative switching capability which replenishes CO2 enrichment after exhaust functions and disables CO2 during exhaust functions or in darkness periods. Exhaust system will operate all 24 hrs. | ![]() |
![]() | The CT-DH-2 may be used to operate fans or any other cooling or de-humidifying equipment. Use with the IR-1 to defeat CO2 when exhaust fans are used for cooling. The diagram above shows how to install the CT-DH-2 to operate with CO2 enrichment. When temperature increases above the predetermined setting an exhaust fan is used for cooling purposes. Excess humidity is resolved with a dehumidifier. If a condition arises where both temperature and humidity are high, both the exhaust fan and dehumidifier would run concurrently. One side of the 24 Hour Dual timer could control lighting while the other side schedules the day time cycle of the CST-1 which in turn controls CO2 generation. |
