This chart above demonstrates a basic guideline for fertilizer application for some popular plant types. Column "A" represents a formula for seedlings from 2 to 4 weeks of age. Column "B" is for crops 4 weeks to maturity and column "C" is used for plants bearing fruit from bud set to harvest. Upper chart shows milliliters (or cc's) suggested per gallon of water, lower portion utilizes teaspoons (tsp.) for the same recipe. The shaded columns above show the Parts Per Million (PPM) and their totals of the 5 most essential elements for each of the recipes listed above in the un-shaded areas. Total ppm for all ingredients in each of the recipes are stated in the bottom row. Example: The Total added PPM of part "A" for leafy Vegetables is 1200.

These calculations above represent approximate Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium (NPK) values only and are intended to provide a guideline to modify or construct a nutrient for varying needs. The numbers in the columns represent TEASPOONS per GALLON. The formulas may be multiplied to achieve your desired concentration. EXAMPLE: The first line in the chart recommends 1 TSP MICRO BASE and 1 TSP. GROW #1 in ONE GALLON of WATER to achieve a 2-2-6 NPK ratio formulation yielding approximately 800 parts per million of total dissolved solids. To make the 2-2-6 formula solution twice as strong, use 2 TSP. per gallon, Micro Base and 2 TSP. per gallon Grow #1. This will increase the total dissolved solids to approximately 1600 PPM. See The Genesis Formula label for specific instructions on how to mix the nutrients.

This chart is used to calculate the elemental values of combined Genesis components. The first vertical blue column Element lists the typical constituents of the formula. The next three columns represent the values for the MicroBase part of the formula. The yellow PPM columns represent the value of one milliliter of Genesis liquid concentrate in one gallon of water. The violet ml columns shows the milliliters of concentrate added. And the green Total columns are the total for each element after multiplied by the milliliters added of that Genesis component. The second, third and fourth sets of three columns show these values for the other Genesis components added as represented by Grow #1, Grow #2, or Bloom #3. The final red Total column shows the sum of the component values in ppm when accumulated horizontally for each element. This column will be your actual PPM values of your finished formula. By changing the proportions of the Genesis components you can achieve a wide variety of formula variations to suit any plant in any stage of growth. See the example form filled out below.
